Because a long stay is almost always somebody waiting on an insurer or an estate, and charging them more for waiting is the thing this industry does that we will not.
- When it starts
- The day after your vehicle arrives. The first twenty-four hours are free, which covers almost everybody who collects promptly.
- What it costs
- Sixty-five dollars a day for the first ten days, then forty-five. It goes down because a long stay is usually somebody waiting on an insurer or a probate, and charging them more for waiting is the thing this industry does that we will not.
- Getting your things out
- Any time we are open, free, with ID matching the registration or a letter from whoever it does match. Personal property is never held against a bill. That is not a favour, it is the law, and plenty of yards behave as though it is not.
- Getting the vehicle out
- Pay the bill and take it. If it will not drive we will put it on a truck for the standard rate, or you can arrange your own carrier and we will help load it.
- If you cannot pay
- Ring us. Storage accruing on a car somebody cannot afford to release is a bad outcome for everybody, and there is almost always something to arrange. What there is not is a silent clock.
- How long before it is a problem
- Thirty days starts a legal process in Rhode Island, and we will have written to you three times before then. Nobody's car has ever quietly become ours.
