What does it cost to clear a drain?

A hundred and eighty-five dollars for a kitchen or bath drain through an accessible cleanout, three hundred and forty for a main line, which includes a camera pass so you know what caused it. Both are on the price list with what they include and when they stop applying.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. The price on the list is the price on the invoice, and it includes getting here. What is not on the list gets quoted before anybody starts, in writing, and you can say no at that point and owe nothing.

Is the price on the website really the price?

For the twenty jobs listed, yes, and that is the whole reason the list exists. Each row also says the situation where the flat price stops applying — no cleanout, a flue that no longer suits the heater, a wall that has to come open. Those are quoted, not assumed.

How soon can you come?

Same day for no water or an active leak, most weekdays. Two to four days for everything else, longer in a cold snap when every frozen pipe in the South Hills rings at once. The person who answers will give you a real day rather than putting you on a list.

Do you work on weekends?

Saturday morning, one truck, booked ahead. Closed Sunday. It is on the hours page rather than hidden, because a company that says twenty-four seven and then does not answer is worse than one that says Saturday until noon.

What about an emergency at night?

We are not the right people. There is no overnight service here and there never has been. Shut the water off at the main and ring at seven — for most leaks that is genuinely the right answer. If you smell gas, leave and ring the gas company, not a plumber.
