Monthly report

July 2026, including the line nobody publishes.

A new one goes up on the tenth of each month, and the old ones stay up. A report you can only see once is a press release.

July 2026

  1. Cardboard

    412 tons

A containerboard mill in Washington state

    3% rejected

Best month this year. Wet cardboard is the usual rejection and July is dry.

  2. Mixed paper

    138 tons

The same mill, on a separate grade

    11% rejected

Shredded paper is most of this. It cannot be sorted and it should go in the bin.

  3. Glass, collected separately

    96 tons

    A container plant in Oregon

    2% rejected

Separate collection is the whole reason this number is two and not thirty.

  4. Aluminium and steel cans

    44 tons

A scrap processor in Pierce County

    6% rejected
  5. Film plastic

    21 tons

A film recycler in British Columbia

    19% rejected

The hardest stream we run. Anything with food on it is out, and it usually has food on it.

  6. Rigid plastic, grades 1 and 2

    33 tons

    A reprocessor in Utah

    8% rejected
  7. Everything sorted out as contamination

    58 tons

    Landfill, in Pierce County

    100% rejected

This is the honest line. Fifty-eight tons we collected did not get recycled, and the pages below explain what most of it was.

Tonnages are examples pending confirmation. Processors are described by type and location rather than named, and no client name appears on this site.
