How often should panels be cleaned here?

In the East Valley, twice a year is usually right, and four times if you are near open desert, a construction site, or a field. If you rang us and it turns out you had them done six weeks ago, we will say so and not take the money — that has happened and it is on the readings page.

Will cleaning actually improve output?

Accepted Answer

Usually, sometimes a lot, occasionally not at all. We will not put a percentage on this site because it varies enormously between roofs and any number would be a number we could not stand behind on yours. What we do instead is read your inverter before and after and print both figures on the invoice.

Do you go on the roof?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything is done from the ground with poles and deionised water. Walking on an array can crack cells invisibly, and nobody on this crew goes on a roof without fall protection, which for a residential panel clean is not worth it for anybody.

What about second storey windows?

Accepted Answer

From the ground with a pole, up to about thirty-five feet, which covers every two-storey house in the Valley. Sixty dollars on top of the single-storey price. If a window genuinely cannot be reached that way, we will tell you rather than improvising with a ladder.

Question 5

Do you do interiors?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it roughly doubles the price and the time, so it is booked separately rather than assumed. Somebody has to be home. Most people do interiors once a year and exteriors quarterly.

How is it priced?

Accepted Answer

Windows by storey and pane count, panels at nine dollars each with a hundred and ten dollar minimum, and fifty-five dollars off if both happen on the same visit. All of it is on the prices page and none of it needs a phone call to find out.
