The same list, with what stops in each case

If this company closed tomorrow and every server it owns went dark, your house would still light itself and heat itself from the wall. That is not a feature we added at the end. It is the constraint everything else was designed around.

of the things we install keep working with the internet unplugged

The other two are named on this site, with what exactly stops. Nobody else publishes that list because it is not flattering.

None of this makes your house secure.

A smart lock is a convenient lock. A camera is a record of something that already happened. Both are genuinely useful and neither is security, and any installer who tells you otherwise is selling you a feeling. It is written here because people make decisions about their houses based on that feeling.

You leave with the passwords and the design file.

In an envelope and in your password manager, plus a laminated page per floor saying what each keypad button does. The most common failure we are called out to fix is an installer who kept the credentials.
