One room, three jobs, and a wedding is only one of them.
Quarry Hall is a building rather than an occasion. The same floor takes a hundred and eighty people in rows, a hundred and forty at round tables, or three hundred and twenty standing at a show — and the price for the day is the same whichever one you are.

Rows

Ceremonies, lectures, award evenings, annual meetings
Chairs in rows facing the north end, where the original crane rail is. Sets up in about an hour and strikes in less, which is why a ceremony and a dinner can happen in the same room on the same afternoon.
Round tables
140 seated at tables of eight
Wedding dinners, fundraisers, company dinners
Eighteen rounds with room to walk between them and space at the south end for a bar. At 160 the room is full and people at the back cannot hear a speech; we will tell you that before you book, not after.
Open floor
320 standing
Concerts, receptions, trade evenings
Stage against the north wall, floor clear, bar at the south end by the doors. The limestone makes the room bright and loud, which suits a band and does not suit a speech.
What the day rate is, and what it is not.
Included
- The main hall for the whole day, 8am to midnight
- Eighteen round tables, twelve six-foot trestles, and 320 chairs
- A 16 by 12 foot modular stage, set wherever you want it
- Ground-level load-in through the mill doors, no steps and no lift
- House lighting on dimmers, and blackout on the north windows
- One coordinator for the building, on site the whole day
- Setup and clear-out hours — not billed separately, because they are your day
- Parking for about 90 cars in the yard, and street parking after six
Not included
- Catering. Bring anyone. We take no percentage and there is no list to pay to leave.
- Bar service and licence. Your caterer or a licensed bar company handles it.
- Linen, glassware, and china. Your caterer usually brings these.
- Sound engineering. The stage has power and hanging points; the desk is yours.
- Decoration and flowers. Nothing may be fixed to the limestone.
- Overnight storage. The building has to be clear by midnight.
The second list is deliberately long. A venue that includes catering is a venue that is taking a margin on your caterer, and we would rather you spent that on the food.
